SPRUCE sold the property at
743 CR 510 on December 6th. 

SPRUCE has received two offers on the property. 

Due to our USDA Funding not coming through, the SPRUCE Board has made the heavy decision to put the SPRUCE property up for sale. 

This year's SPRUCE Spectacular is a day in Ouray! Hiking, picniking, and hot springs! 

Back to School Time! SPRUCE Open House Aug. 30 5-7pm

SPRUCE will be hosting a booth at the Bayfield Block Party again this year. Find us on June 15th, July 20th, & August 10th. 

Natalie will be attending Rural Philanthropy Days for professional development opportunities, networking with other community leaders, and relationship building opportunities with statewide funders.

May 24th, postponed to July 22, will be SPRUCE's final planning meeting with LaPlata County for the building project!

SPRUCE's Circus-themed school year culminated in a Circus Talent Show on April 27th at the Durango Arts Center Theater. The students did an amazing job!

SPRUCE's Read-A-Thon Fundraiser was a great success. We raised $3,830.00 toward our Forest of Knowledge Reading Center in the new building.

SPRUCE Moose Posse students participated in a Mock Trial. They found Eugene Fitzherbert, AKA Flynn Rider, from Tangled guilty, and sentenced him to 55 years!

SPRUCE has raised $130,000.00 for the Capital Campaign

SPRUCE participated in building community rapport at the Bayfield Summer Block Party with a wet sponge throwing activity at our booth. We will continue having a presence at future block parties on July 21 & Aug 18.

End of Year Event
We had a wonderful End of Year event at the lake. We have enjoyed Pine River Industrial's facility this year and thank Andy & Ellis for providing such a great space as landlords!

Each student at SPRUCE learned about entrepreneurship including; budgeting, marketing, profit & loss by creating products from household items presented at their businesses on Market Day culmination event.

We received an unexpected surprise in the mail in the form of a grant of $27,500.00 towards our Capital Campaign from the Dellora A & Lester J. Norris Foundation.

We launched our SPRUCE' n Up our Sports Zones Exercise Campain to raise money to purchase playground & sports equipment. 

Groups began planning their unique challenge in their specific area of Destination Imagination to prepare for the competition on 3/5/22!
